Co-Built by Bijie Municipal Government and Guizhou University, the institute is a matrixing interdisciplinary and open-type research institute that combines scientific research and personnel training.
The institute mainly conducts comprehensive research in many aspects, such as the application of new technology, karst topography, biological diversity, the exploitation of some special biological resources, the exploitation and control of minerals, the technical development of preventing and controlling industrial pollution, modern agriculture and ecological environment. It provides an exchanging and practicing platform for launching relevant scientific researches, cultivating high-quality and interdisciplinary talents.
Based on energy source and coal-based chemical industry, especially on the recycling technique of solid wastes, waste water and gases, the institute aims at studying, developing and transforming a set of high and new technology industries, such as the research of processing special agricultural and sideline products, of cropping systems, and of plants and animals’ breeding. The institute also tries to spread a set of advanced techniques and to accelerate the pace of the regulation of Bijie’s ecological environment.
