The preliminary result of the eighth session of the Postal Savings Bank Cup national contest of college students’ network business innovative applications has been published. Of the Forty-five teams who have qualified for the semi-final in the southwest division --- 43 university teams and 2 higher vocation college teams, twenty-nine teams are from Guizhou University of Engineering Science. That accounts for 67.44% of the qualified university teams and 63.04% of the qualified teams in Guizhou Province.

In recent years, The leaders of the university have attached great importance to students’ academic competitions, and have lent powerful support to this contest of college students’ network business innovative applications. Arranged by the university’s Youth League Committee, and led by the Youth and League Branch of School of Economics and Management, the contest has attracted the students who come from School of Information Engineering, School of Humanities, School of Teachers’ Training, and School of Art.

The contest of college students’ network business innovative applications is held by China Internet Association, aiming at improving college students’ abilities of innovative practice and profession. So far seven sessions have been held successfully. With the number of its participants increasing annually, it has become an important arena for college students’ innovative practice and social communication. The students of our university participated the seventh contest in 2014 for the first time and accomplished outstanding results. Tang Yao’s team--DUCK, which came from School of Economics and Management, was awarded the national first prize in the final.
