Recently, Dr. Chen Shigu (S.Chen George), a senior lecturer in economics of University of New England (UNE), Australia, visited GUES. Chi Yong , vice president of GUES, met with Dr. Chen. The head of International Exchange & Cooperation Office, School of Economics and Management attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Chi Yong introduced the status of GUES, especially the development of the transition in recent years. He pointed out that GUES is a very unique university with 14 schools, the discipline system is very perfect. GUES pays high attention to cooperation and exchange with foreign universities. It has close ties and collaborations with several universities of Malaysia and other countries and Taiwan region. Exchange students are sent to these universities each year. He hoped that GUES would have the opportunity to cooperate with UNE, Australia, in terms of research and other areas.
Dr. Chen Shigu introduced the basic situation of UNE. In its business school, the proportion of Chinese students accounted for less than 10%. He invited our school leadership to UNE to have a visit. He suggested that the two universities carry out the young teachers exchange, student exchange and other in-depth cooperation. He was willing to bridge for the cooperation between the two universities.
